I have nothing for my boat currently. 1989 Regal Empress 200XL.

Doing research, I've read good things about Sunbrella. Seems like a decent deal, but want to make sure it's a good value before I pull the trigger.

Seems priced well for Sunbrella product. Just for reference, a sunbrella cover for my Glastron 185 would be $589. I found another factory cover for $300 instead. Go for it, you can't beat a nice cover.

"Good value" is very subjective. There's a thread here about a month ago with someone asking about a specific brand of boat cover they found on the Internet for about $100 and if anyone had any experience with that cover before they bought it. I just happened to have bought that same cover last year for my 19 foot Maxum and bought it a little larger to also cover the swim platform; it's a good cover especially for $100. The one caveat I mentioned was that it is not completely "water resistant" if water is allow to pool so it's important to buy or form a setup that allows good drainage when it rains; maybe some covers are made where water can pool and well never soak through-I don't know. I did form something using normal 1/2" pvc pipe and rain just runs right off. If you want to research this alternative cover then do a search here and you'll find the brand.

Look around. Anything but a canvas cover is better than none at all. Canvas covers, IMHO, just are not worth the money.
Look on Ebay, amazing what you can find there.

Most places on line, not sure about iboats, have the ability to make a custom cover just for your boat.

I understand the irony.

I did call a couple local places to 'support local businesses' but they are talking upwards of $1K. Not for this boat!
