Is this a decent engine ?1990 Johnson 70 hp

I am considering buying a rebuilt 1990 Johnson 70 hp with pwer t/t cables control box and prop for $2200.00 but I am not familler with this engine does anyone know the pros and cons of this engine

The OMC looper triples are among the best outboard designs ever, Mercrude.<br /><br />Moving this to General Outboard.<br /><br />Good luck. :)

mercrude,<br /><br />I ditto JB's comments.<br /><br />The engines were built for a very long time.<br /><br />They are durable, light and reasonably fuel efficient.<br /><br />It was a good design, copied by many.<br /><br />Parts are plentiful.
