I bought this boat last week..... no plate telling the make inside to be found. After looking at some pictures I thought it may be a Duratech Orion. It's 18 or 19' long....can't seem to find ANY of my tape measures. take a look at the pictures and let me know your thoughts.... thanks

No, not the same thing. Nor Duranautic. All different companies entirely. Duratech was very well known as manufacturing the toughest in aluminum boats. They were around from 1950 until 1965 when PennYan bought them out. Kept the Duratech name for 2 years or so until it petered out, done by '68.

That's what I figured. Odd naming coincidence. DuraCRAFT was apparently the first company to do welded seam alum. john boats. They became pretty well known for it. The company is, in a way, the predecessor of the War Eagle line of boats.

Thanks for the information. :)
