not sure what you mean by "this good", looking at the pictures the boat was taken care of pretty poorly and there has been zero money put in it to maintain it as it shows signs of wear.
Also, they think it has a crack should say to you there probably is a crack- get a survey...
All in All the boat is $1500 and thats probably what you are getting. A boat that needs a lot of TLC. So if you are incline to do the work yourself- maybe you should go for it. If you have to out source the work it will get real pricey real quick.

Probably there because a lot of people either can't or chose not to do so much work. If you can, then go for it.

Bad engine and outdrive.
So you are buying a hull and a trailer.
Check out the transom and stringers real well.
Get them to throw on some new transom tiedowns, a spare tire, and offer them $1000. Then take it home and get to working on it. You could be ready to hit the water by Memorial day if you work fast.

I agree with Rosco, I would go to them with $1,000.00 cash and if they take it go for it. To me it looks like a thousand dollar boat.

Re: is This a good deal?

well I'm suree I could get it fro $1000
I have bought a few boats form this place the owner in a nice guy I deal with him directly.
I presally think the eninge is ok they are just saying in might be cracked.
I took a good look at it and the floor was solid .
It is the best boat they have in that price range.
now the real problem will it still be there when I get the money? :D

Lets see now - - - - - You are lookin at a 19 year old fiberglass boat (rot in the transom or stringers?) with a cracked block (you must assume that it is) and no outdrive. You must have spring feaver.

NO WAY! That boat is bringing the value of the trailer down. I watch ebay all the time. The most this package would get is 3-400 dollars. They mention the engine "might" be cracked because it is and they hope someone will buy it and hope its not. Its been sitting so long for a reason. You need to watch ebay. larsons get a ton of complaints. That boat is free. The gimble and engine dressings are included to motivate someone to take it. The trailer is maybe worth something to somebody. They'll say they'll get more parting it out, and they will, but I'm sure they don't want the hastle. 400 MAX!!!!

Re: is This a good deal?

Does the walk through window close properly?

Most bow riders I see for sale with walk through windshield that is left open, is because it does not close properly. That does not mean there is a major problem, but it does say there is some sort of structual break down somewhere. Look it over well.

Bad motor and drive; 750 to 1000 MAX if you have some parts already that fit this application.

Good luck and let us know how it goes.

I would offer between $500-1,000 for that boat. After 4 months, i'm sure they are getting desperate to sell the boat, i dont think they would turn down your offer..
as to why it sat so long...no outdrive, that scares many people away. Most want something "working" they could jump into, turn the key and go.

Originally posted by WWYC na7:
anyone catch that scum line, looks like a list to me. on transom photo.

I have to agree also. The water line looks to be a bit off center.(high on the stbd and low on the port) Maybe water logged floatation?

Just because you don't see cracks on the outside, they could be inside. Look for water in the oil.

I agree with most. The hull w/gimbal and tailer $750.00. As a buyer you must sell them the idea it will need a motor. This is probably why it hasn't sold yet. People this time of year want something that is ready to go..

Good Luck......SS

Re: is This a good deal?

I think one of my posts got poofed because of a link to Ebay. There is a newer, bigger Larson cuddy that needs a rebuilt V8. Watch the bidding. buy it now is 1500. Its in better shape, drive is reportedly good.
