Sounds kinda steep for a 15 year old boat based on south Florida prices. I know the brand of boat, they used to be real popular down here years ago...they were middle of the road quality. Down here at least, I would start at offering about $1,000.00. I don't know where you live, but prices could be quite different there. Keep in mind...outboard motors were about half what they are today and the boats were much cheaper too plus depreciation.

I have to agree with Flyboy that it depends on your area.

The price on used boats vary so much in different parts of the country.

What is the length??

What part of the country??

That's an okay price for that boat, in excellent shape, in Dallas, Texas...if you don't mind parting with $3200 more or less. If you're not in a hurry, just keep looking. You can always find the same or better for less if you are patient. I bought my first boat, used, about two years ago. Did okay and I'm proud of it, but I could've done better if I had waited six months and looked at many others while I was researching the purchase and comparing boats. Just my 2 cents.

I'm in Wichita Falls and I paid $3000 for my 1984 19'Bayliner.

I would counter at $2500 and find middle ground.

VIP years ago used to make the cutest little boat called the "SeaSquirt", 14' long, center consol, all open type fisherman with a full inner hull liner like a Mako or Boston Whaler and a FULL deadrise, straked deep v, rated for up to 50 hp and self bailing to boot...then they got greedy and made it longer wider and different and then they went out of business at the local plant for that model here in Fort Lauderdale. Got bought out I think and changed the name to Seastrike in Miami
