I am upgrading to a new boat and there is a 2006 22' Bennington 2275RL with a 60hp 4 stroke for sale in my area. It has only about 80 hours on it, a stereo, detachable face CD, bimini top, and changing area. They are asking 19,000. It is in excellent condition. Do you think that is a reasonable price? I was thinking for around 15K.

Of course geography factors into pricing, but it sounds a little high to me, especially with a 60 horse. $15k sounds like a good top. Others in your area might have a different opinion.

It's a good price if you think it is... you're the (potential) buyer, not us. To me, that kind of boat is worthless (not my style). If you like it, and can get it for what you feel it's worth, then buy it. If not, move on.

You might consider having this moved to the Pontoon section. You're more likely to get better informed answers there as pontooners are a breed apart.

If you are serious about this boat then you need to have a survey done on it. If everything is all good and you think it is worth 15k then offer a little lower and work up to it. Keep looking cause soon as you get it there will be a better deal, always seems to happen.

This might be heresy, but I think a survey on a party barge is a waste of money. With the exception of the motor, which can be examined by a reputable outboard mechanic for a fraction of the cost of a survey, there aren't really any significant issues that can be hidden from sight.
