Is this a problem?

I have been working on a 20ft pontoon boat that was given to me. This boat has a 50hp johnson on it. So here is the possible problem I started the boat in the yard today, with muffs on it, and noticed water coming out of what looks to be a seam at the top of the lower unit. Is this a problem and if it is what can i do to fix it? thank you for any help

When assembling the lower unit to the midsection you are supposed to seal that seam with some #847 or similar product. That, however, is only so people don't freak out when they see water squirting out. If it does squirt out, no matter. That water has done it's job of cooling and was destined to be discharged out through the prop hub anyway.
