Leaving for Canadian fishing trip so looked up the latest rules and regs. From what I've read and heard you now have to have a waterproof flashlight on your boat, Not a bad idea, But the winner was when I read that you have to have a 50 ft. floatable line to throw if someone goes overboard, The real winner is it must be YELLOW!!! You mean to tell me that if a guy or person falls overboard and you throw him the floatable line he's going to refuse it because its not yellow!!! (I'll just tread water till you come back with a yellow one!!!!) They tell me that they are really checking the boats on the St. Lawrence for just those two rules, and fining the hell out of those that don't comply. I have been fishing Canada since 1957 and this is the wackest law I have ever seen. I guess I'll have to leave my 60 ft. of floatable line, (blue) and stop at the 1000 islands bait store to see if I can pick up some YELLOW line instead, Go figure, My two cents

Jersey Bill
