Is this correct?

Hello everyone. I'm curious about something. My 3.0L Mercruiser has serial number B523519 right on the valve cover on the tag. I need a new mechanical fuel pump, and looking on the Iboats parts section, the fuel pump I believe that is correct for my motor is Sierra part # 18-7278. It says for serial number 6229718 and above.

Is this correct?

I would have thought someone would have had an answer for this. It's all good though. I called the Iboats store where I purchased the pump, and they clarified it for me. So all is well. Few days and she should be ready to go.

Your question was easy enough to answer, the problem is with the iboats web site. Many use to spend hours everyday just looking and answering questions. The site worked very well and most could find the a new post quickly. Since the software upgrade we all struggle to work with the web site, and many like me do not spend as much time online. It's much more difficult and many posters get over looked, such is probably what happened in your case. Hang in there it will get better
