Almost anything on a fiberglass boat is fixable, it comes down to whether you want a big project or not.

Yes it is fixable. But bare in mind that it is likely going to take a huge effort to do. In order to do it right it may mean completely disassembling the boat to bare hull to get it done. If this is damage due to rot, then you will absolutely have to tear it down to make the boat safe. If it is wreck damage than it is possible the damage is not local to the transom. At very least the transom and all the fiberglass will have to be repaired. It all depends what kind of restoration you want to do. As a novice boat restorer, I can tell you it can be a big job and I have a shop and 30 years of experience working with my hands.
I do not mean to be a defeatist. If you want it, it can be done. But your going to have to want it allot.;)

You should find out more about the nature of the problem. It it really the transom, or is it the outdrive? Does the motor run?

Anyway, for the money, you could probably make a few dollars parting it out. About $200 for the trailer, $150 for windshield, $50 seats, $500 outdrive, $100 for manifolds, $300 for motor, etc

Is this worth messing with? I cant figure out how bad it is by the picture. Maybe you can is this worth even messing with. I am looking for a project boat but I want something fixable.

You want a project, if you like that style of boat then its fixable.

The odds are no-one else wants it, offer them less, it'll pay for the resin.
I'd do it in a heartbeat.

For $350, it's hard to turn down. Worst case, I could part it out and make money. I need another trailer too!
In MD, the title thing would be an issue.

The ad says the motor is seized and transom is broken, so in my eyes, that trailer best really be worth $350. I'd probably be looking to salvage the trailer and any parts I could sell. Chances are that boat isn't worth the effort being 20 years old and damaged like that. It appears to be a painted trailer too?

I can't say I'd be all that inclined to even go look at it.
