I'm at the point where I can start cutting the stringers in. I'm going to use 3/4 outdoor plywood for the stringers and the deck.

Here is my materials list for the stringers and the deck and transom. I know the only thing I didnt put on here is the foam but I'll play that one by ear. PLease correct any mistakes I've made. I've never done this before. I've read others posts and I calculated based off of the stickies.

I have a 19 Foot Deck boat. Thanks!

The only thing I think you might need more on is the resin. If you are going to make peanut butter a lot, you will eat it up. I used 45 gallon on my boat, but I used PB for almost all glueing.

Yeah you're gunna need at least 10 more gallons of resin. I would think you will need 10 qts of cabosil and 1lb of 1/4" chopped strand fibers. 19' deck boat has a lot of deck area which is different than an regular ski boat.

I used your video as a template. When you went through everything you purchased. Thanks a million for those videos, btw. I watched them so many times I feel like I owe you money or something. HA.

I have a lot of stress cracks and a lot of fixing. How much resin would you bump it up to? 15-20 gallons? US Composites might cost an arm and a leg for shipping it if it's too heavy. Might have to look for a local place. Or is the US Composites' resin the cream of the crop?

Thanks! I just totaled my list from US Composites and its about a grand without shipping. I told my wife It would cost ~$1500.00 to get her restored. I'm at my limit now and that's without wood or the trailer restoration and the other doo-dads and gizmos i will need to get her right.

I can't start a project and not finish it. Guess It's the dog house for me.

BTDT....... triple your cost estimate, and quadruple your time estimate and you may be close.

It seems like the further I get into it the more I need to replace or restore. I just found out I will need a new 55 Gallon fuel tank today after I uncovered it from the foam. I didnt realize that the boat cradle and lifts would cost so much in wood. I haven't even dug into the engine, outdrive or trailer yet. Maybe Poseidon will shine on me and It wont cost too much. Knowing what I just went through, this boat is going to get more and more expensive.

After abrasives and safety equipt..gloves,suits,tools,buckets,rags,acetone,wood,fasteners,epoxy,..etc.. your diving in for a little more then just 1500 bucks.

You can ditch the chopped up mat ( you can make that with your scrap mat yourself ).

You need more cabosil ( its basically a 1:1 ratio cabo to resin mix )

Your gonna have probably a good gallon or more of Resin waste ( or more depending on how it goes ).

Just to let you know.

Some of us are Pros..and we Know how much we can work with in the timeframe that we have..we have little wasted resin. We buy resin/acetone 55 gals at a time. .. We charge 90/hr for our time..but you will find out that there is a reason why you can also Waste 90 bucks an hour if your not careful in your applications...

YD.
