Hi guys<br />Having just read the recent posts about BOMBA! How much longer can us Jonny/Rude guys expect to get new spares? 1970 forget it ! and 1980/1990/2000<br />Sounds like technology has caught up with all of us! <br />IE<br />If it don't work take it to a dealer or buy the laptop and software, Forget Clymer and DIY.<br />Give me a coil,points and dizzy any day.<br />BRING BACK OMC I don't care how much money they lost !!!!!!!!!!!!!

If you think about it, still being able to get(New) parts for a 30,40,50, or more year old motor, is not too bad. I think that will hold true of the 2000 Model motors that are being made now. Parts will be around for a long time, as long as there is a market for them.

Rick,with respect, I think you missed the point.<br />OMC was a Dinosaur, they still made spares for every engine they ever made.!!!!!!!!!!!<br />What spares will BOMB still be making in 30 years time ??????????????<br /><br />Dave

Bomb will continue, along with other outside suppliers, to provide parts in the future for Models that are currently produced by Bomb. Do you really believe they bought OMC only to provide Motors and no parts in the future? I don't.

I think they will also continue to manufacture parts for the older motors as well.If there's demand for them they certaintly aren't going to lose that market.As for being able to get parts thirty years down the road, who knows.Heck , I can't even get a replacement remote for a $1200 TV that's 6 years old.If you know for a fact you'll be keeping the motor you have for decades I would begin stockpiling some replacement staples if you feel they won't be available when you need them.In all probability if Bomb or whoever owns the rights in the future decide to stop manufacturing parts for older motors the patents may be sucked up by aftermarketers.Sort of like getting parts for vintage or "classic" cars.

Sorry m8 but if you read this BB there are guys trying to source parts for motors from the 60's <br />BomB are a buy it and bin it Co.<br />Which takes me back to the original question !

technology,evolution, where is it taking us ??<br />We won't be talking about today's motors in 30 years time.<br />Bonb will not support the aftersales like OMC for 30 years
