Is this worth it?

Hey guys, just looking at an add on kijiji for a 2002 mercury 9.9 hp 2 stroke and the guy is asking $1,750 (canadian) for it, is that a good buy? it looks to be in good condition and he says it runs good but is that a fair price even with these credentials, to me it just seems like a little too much

Not too out of line. In the spring/summer a 2002 merc 9.9 in excellent condition will sell for $1750 around here (vancouver) no problem. If it's not in excellent condition then it's not worth $1750.
