Assuming you get(got) it for free, figure the deck, transom and stringers are gone and need to be replaced. The cost to do it yourself in materials will be close to $2000-$2500 add redoing the interior, another $1000 and then whatever work the motor needs the profit margin disappears fast.

It's all there, but it won't make you any money after restoration. It'd be a really great looking fishing boat, though so I think selling it wouldn't be a big deal if it had a reliable engine on it.

Get a leaf blower, trim the tree, clean it up and sell it now .
It could fetch $200-500 as a project if the trailer is ok, I would sell the engine seperate. I wouldn't spend any money on it unless I wanted to use it myself.

I joke around a lot. Honestly my experience is not enough to comment. Anything will sell.

Will it sell, restored? Yes. For around $2000 if it looks mint. At what cost in parts? Probably $3000. Plus your labor. If this is a boat you will use for a couple years...say 4 years, and get enjoyment....and then sell for say $1800 in the spring....you will have got your moneys worth. If you do it, and keep this thing for 5-10 years, you have profited. (Go buy a new boat for $20,000 plus, use it for 10 years, then sell it for $3500. Which scenario sounds better?)

I'm just wondering how I'd build a livewell around the roots of your tree, and keep the damn thing there. Trim it to keep the size down....great camoflage for hunting ducks maybe?

Got the title? Without it, depending on the rules of the state your in, it may remain a planter.
