Good morning all, I am in search of any examples on here with pictures or diagrams, or even meaningful discussions surrounding building a rear casting deck.
I have a Starcraft Mariner '76 220, and while there are many things I love about the boat, one thing that is lacking is a good fishing deck for my fishing partner on any given day.
I've stubbed out some wireframes on what I think would be a good build, that would fit my needs.
Idealy, I want to have a life up bench seat, that will also solve some of my seating problems, and extend the deck out to approximately 3 feet.
The approximate dimensions of the space are 76" wide, 50" deep, and thinking 18" tall.
I'm also attaching some of my roughed out wireframes of the concept. I've included the best picture I can find showing the entire stearn area, with the non permanent casting deck I made last year.
