issue i cant figure out.....

you guys have been great helping me out before, looking for some help. i have a 74 omc 120hp. everything starts out fine then the issues start. can run WOT from the start and runs great but then if we stop for a while with the engine running or with it off when i try to get back up to full speed its like the outdrive is stuck at half throtle. engine sounds fine but the boat won't get up to plane or full speed. any advice would be great.

possibly hub inside prop slippin had simular exp mark prop nnd hub take it out u will see if lines dont line up mine was fine cold but slipped as soon as it got warm

just ordered a new prop today so i guess i'll find out tomorrow if thats the answer

... that means your rpm is at the top speed and boat at half the speed?

Isnt that a pin style prop?Doubt thats your issue if so.

those pin on props still have a flexible hub that can slip.

yup, that is exactly what the hub looks like. unfortunatly i can't take it out yet because my trim motor decied to fry on me....after i get that rebuilt tonight hopefully we can spend the weekend pulling the kids around on the tube!
