Issues turning left

I wasn’t able to find anything on this issue so I figured I would try making a post and asking. I have a ‘95 bay liner Capri 1700 ls with a force 120. When turning right it performs fine. Just imaging making a right hand turn in your own boat. When turning left however the boat seems like it rises out of the water a bit and instead of turning it starts to tip over and tries to dump everyone out. It basically puts the boat on its left side. What could be causing this? Is it the trim/tilt? Why does it turn right like any other boat does but not left. It’s like the boat doesn’t know how to turn left or is scared to turn left!

Are you talking about the same amount or turn on the wheel right and left, or full turn lock to lock?

The angle of turn only seems the change how far onto the side the boat goes. If I turn hard left it immediately feels like we are going to get dumped and the boat is going to flip. If I do it slowly it’s a little less sketchy but the boat still seems to start coming out of the water onto its side.

It might also be helpful to know that turning the wheel left is in general harder than turning right too. Especially in the water under load but also it’s noticeable when on the trailer

Then its just how it reacts, not much can do about it. Its a light boat and the prop rotates clockwise, so when turning left the prop is climbing out of the water which raises the starboard side. Same rotation is why its harder to steer left because the prop

There shouldn't be any difference with motor off. Only way to make it easier is power steering
