ok he 66 40hp selectric runs
turn out both coils were real cracked and gave intermitant spark.
just happend i had bought a pair of coils for my 59 gale that are the same.
just need to figure out few more little things and then give it a water test

Stuff left

figure out the cut out switch with the white hooked up to the solinoid it wouldn't start so not sure there yet

need to finish wireeing the shifter

change oil in bottom end

and I'm hoping the fuel pump repair holds out

curently it's runing on about 25:1 mix is that close

A 66 motor should run on 50:1, according to what others would say on this forum. Good old motors and I think it should serve you well.

a tank or 2 of 25:1 will not hurt. then go to 50:1.
