Hello Fellas. I have been absent from the forum for a while. Been very busy with Work. I had previously posted on a 64 Jet that I am working on. I have made a lot of progress on that and will be posting soon on that thread to update it. This thread is about another Starcraft that I picked up about a month ago. It is a 16 foot Super Sport. After getting the Jet on the water I quickly realized that a 15 foot closed bow is very small for two adults and two kids so I set out searching for the much coveted Super Sport. Long story short, I found one locally, picked it up, repowered it with an Evinrude 50 that I picked up for the Jet, and moved the Force 45 that came with it onto the Jet. I rebuilt the Carbs on the Evinrude and did a quick Link 'n' Sync, rebuilt the gear shift switch, replaced the impeller and I think she runs great. Of course the day I finished all the work the local River here got shut down for boating due to the heavy rains and submerged obstacles so I had to wait another couple weeks before I could get her on the water. Well the closure was lifted yesterday and I gotta say all the work and waiting (I am not a very patient man) was well worth it. Here is a short video I took of her maiden voyage. My girlfriend was working the controls and she likes to ease into the throttle but she accelerates nicely. I have some more pictures that I will post when I am not at work. I love this boat!

You mean the two sliding doors? No, I didnt replace them. I'd be happy to take a look though when I get home.

A quick look would be great. I can make the doors but can not find a slide material. Thanks

in the same area of Lowes etc, you can find alum U-channel about 3/8x3/8x3/8. this stuff works fairly well as a channel for things to slide in and is pretty sturdy, if you can't find anything better.
