I still can't get the tuning right on my evinrude 9.9 today I was fidiling for a good hour out on the water and the only way she will go is to have the choke out I don't know what to do!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!y

sounds like your carb is dirty,if you have to choke it to get it to pull fuel,its usually a clogged jet , oriface,or airway,,,,,.on the info youve provided anyways

Just something to keep in mind - if the cylinders aren't getting enough fuel from the dirty carb, those cylinders aren't getting oil either. Pistons don't like to be run without oil.
