I'll agree with you guys that if you OHM one and it reads bad it deffently is BAD..<br />But seen way too many bad ones that OHM out fine..... Checking them with an OHM meter isn't in any way the ACID test you assume it to be...

The ohm test is not the only test, there is check for short to ground, and output test, all done on cold engine at cranking rpm. Then if you still have ignition problems repeat the same test on running engine at operating temp at all rpms laoded. I would not condemn one with just an ohm test.
