This 2004 4Stroke motor appears in good condition.
Will fire and run if fuel sprayed into intake. Fuel will shoot out of low pressure pump. Have replaced the low pressure filter. Can hear the high pressure pump but only a small amount of fuel comes out of it to the injectors. Not easy to get at the fuel line between the low p pump filter and the vapor box to be able to check that. looks like I will need to remove the intake manifold to get at that. Can't get at the vapor box at the moment as the boat is in the water. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated .

things to check

vst filter clean ? vst float working ok ? when were injectors cleaned last ??

you may have a high pressure filter t the output of the VST...

btw do you have EV diagnostics to check for faults???

pick out the year 1990 -2001 service manual from this list

Ok guys we have the manifold off. Inspection reveals that there is a rubber seal between the output of the HP pump and the housing feeding the hose to the filter. This seal is split but it is not shown on the drawings. Can you help us?

regardless you may need a dealer to hep out since they have the parts.

if not some kind of fuel resistanct compound will be needed . . or a new VST $$

Motor now back together and runs fine. Low cost replacement HP fuel pump came with the seal. Needle jet and float in good shape . Replaced the fuel line from connector to input filter. Replaced filter. Runs real well.
Thanks for all your help guys.
