Can anyone tell me where I can find a jack plate to lower my 115hp mariner on my 89 19ft Bayliner. I bought a 20in for a deal and I need a 25in. Problem is I need one that will drop me 5" but wont cost me an arm and a leg.

I haven't seen any jackplates that were worth scrap that didn't cost an arm and a leg. ;) You might try eBay for a good deal. Otherwise check out the marine store here at iboats. They have the best prices I've seen on a lot of their stuff.

It's gonna end up costing you a lot more than you "saved" with the "deal".

I would look to convert the engine or trade it for a XL shaft engine.

Bay Manufacturing makes extension kits. Look them up at baymfg dot com.

Another issue you'll have with a jackplate, is a reduction in the amount of allowable trim your motor will have before it crashes into the transom splashwell area. Unless you go with a large setback, you may not be able to trim much at all. I'd pursue the extension kit.
