Jack position

Is it possible to move the jack from one side of the trailer frame to the other without causing any problems? My jack and crank are currently on the passenger side of the tow vehicle. I never have any help to hook up the boat and trailer, so I have to continually go around the front of the truck or hurdle the tongue to get to the crank. Its always in the back of my mind that when I'm straddling the tongue the trailer will kick up and, well, you know the rest of the story. It would be much easier it the jack was on the drivers side of the truck. I have a 2 ton floor jack and jack stands to work with, but I didn't know if they are put on that side for a reason. Thanks in advance for any replies.

Re: Jack position

no difference, unless it interferes with the winch handle.
