Jackplate Setback HELP!

I am the proud new owner of an Everglades 200cc and was hoping anyone familiar with this boat can tell me any experiences they've had with a jack plate on this boat. I am looking for the boat to run skinnier but am worried a jack plate won't help me. I am planning on a bob's with 6 in. setback. I've heard it might help run skinnier, but could cause problems getting up in shallow water. Can anyone help??!!

They make them right up the road from me.

I've never heard of a jackplate making it harder to get up- it's more the opposite.

Bob's makes great stuff!

Unfortunately I don't have any real experience with that boat and a plate though.
