James River/Chesapeake Marinias???

I live near richmond va, and i would like to put together a weekend trip for my wife and i this spring. I would like to put in at hopewell and run down the james river and find a nice marina to head to that has a nice resturant and marina, maybe something to do, wlk around, maybe some shops or something. Any ideas on some marinas?? my boat is a 23ft proline cuddy so we could sleep on the boat so do not need hotel or anything, just something to tie up to. i have a 70 gal tank so i guess i have a decent amount of range. i was thinking about waterside marina in norfolk, but i dont really know how long of a boat ride that would be. i cruse at about 27mph. i know not everyone is familair with that area but anyone who is, there imput would be greatly appreceated. thank you.

http://www.watersidemarina.com/ I've never used this place myself but it is right where you want to be. If their rates a too high you can probably find cheaper ones across the river in Portsmouth. They have a ferry service between Portmouth and Norfolk.
