Re: Jeep Cherokee SPORT

If she crashed the first one, maybe she shouldnt be on the road at all!! Just kidding.

Just so she knows the limits or the vehicle as compared to a lower type car, Like it wont corner like a car, and just because its a 4X4 dosnt mean in will stop any faster on ice than a car or that she can drive faster because of it!

It's a great first car. I'm on my second one at 18. :D When you do crash them...you're MUCH more likely to walk away than in any car. I wrecked the first one a few months ago, it was totaled but I walked away. If I was in a car, I probably would have went to the hospital. Also there's a million of them around, so parts are cheap and easy to come by. :)

Re: Jeep Cherokee SPORT

ZmOz This is his sister, thank you for your advice. I did walk away from the last accident b/c I was driving the Jeep, unfortunately, my car didn't pull through. It flat lined after I hit the pole. I use to drive a 1985 Toyota Pick-up. If I was in that, I wouldn't be alive right now. I'll try not to screw this one up!

Re: Jeep Cherokee SPORT

They are excellent vehicles, I have 2 92 XJ's 4.0's auto, 4x4, and on mine at 150K,(I got it at 100K) I've upgraded rad. to 3 row, brakes once, belt and tstat. Just reg. svc and they'll go 200K easy. The motors and trannys(autos) are really almost indestructable. Just chg oil every 3K and tranny fluid every 30K. Heinz
P.S. Giving mine to daughter soon, may just get another nicer one for me, who knows?

Wifes in her second and really no real problems to speak of. Remember, just because you can go-go in the slop and snow doesn't mean you should. My pPontiac front wheel drive corners and stops better in snow than the Jeep. Also, sitting at a grab joint on Cape Cod eating clam rolls we look up to see a Jeep screeching to an emergency stop because someone tried to turn left on them. The jeep got sideways and rolled right over. No one hurt thank God and seatbelts. Cool car -drive slow.
