jet boat cooling problem...please help

i have a 94 four winns fling with a 115 johnson in it and it is a jet boat and we we bought it not running and replaced some electronic that had melted in overheating and got it running but now we cant figure out how to get it to cool. we had to weld the bottom of the tank because they didnt winterize it and it froze and cracked but now it isnt filling with water and cooling so please help me out i dunno if it hooked up wrong or what.....

you need to try to find a manual on that combination. there were not many made as it was a combined effort of OMC and four winns. the only boat to use the combo. so there are not many of us that are familar with them. try the brp-johnson.com and outboardbooks.com to see if they have the manual, and brp may have the diagrams.

There is a hose running from the water filter on the floor of the engine compartment to the tank. That is the water supply line to the engine from the jet drive. There is a large arrow on top of the filter bracket which points in the direction of the water flow.

You must have the boat in the water with the jet drive running to get water to the engine unless you attach a independent water supply with pressure.
