I purchased a 1995 Euroline jetboat with 120 Sportjet. The thing is a dog so I decided to replace the wear ring. I checked the impeller shaft and get .003 out at the prop (just 6" in from the back end). Anyone know what the specs are on this for tolerance. I am going to order a new one anyway but just want to see what they specifiy. I have the repair manual but it does not say.
Oddly enough, the wear clearance is at .045 and the manual says .090 to .100 to replace
LOL.
OOooo, another question. I have the impeller at a prop shop and would like to know if there is any advantage to polishing this thing?
I will have to post pics up when I am done. I am turning it into a sport boat/bass boat. I have the seats in there now but need to finish the carpet and plug some holes. The boat was in terrible shape when I got it and now it at least has some shine to it. I am going to name it "SUM FUN" since it is both a bass boat and fun boat plus I am "sinking" too much into it
Come to think of it, I have some pics while polishing it on MY WEBSITE Check out Sis W. that is the 126' Burger that the Walgreen's own. I did some work on that too
