Hi All,
I just secured a 30 ft boat slip in the norwalk CT harbor, where my slip is it gets pretty shallow (about 4-6ft at low tide) and you have to stay in the channel at all times to get out to the sound....I was looking at newer jet boats like the Yamaha sport FSH and was intrigued since there is no prop to hang down would be able to handle the shallows better.
My question is: is it ok to leave a jet boat in a wet slip (floating slip) for the season or do jet boats need to be raised up like jet skis on ramps?? Thanks in advance

Marine growth on the drive would be an issue. You can't really coat the entire pump to prevent it.

Not only on the drive but the whole bottom would need to be painted. Most mid size cruisers for about 32 ft and under draft less than 4 ft my Larson 330 Cabrio drafted 42 inches so I don't Really think your that restricted. down here in Fl in the gulf the channel I use to get out of our cannal is dredged to 2.5ft and in the gulf we run about 2miles out to hit 6ft my 270 coastal drafts 34 inches with the drives down so sometimes it's just a tide waiting game
