There is a confusing and contradictory listing of banned engines regarding emissions, but I can find no separate noise regulation. However . . . I am guessing that you do not meet
state regulations, but I am unclear 100% although there are definitely unenforced noise laws all over the place. Most of then are something like 85 decibels at 25 ft. at idle . . . I have a 6.2 MPI thru transom, no baffles, nothing, nada, and it passed the above test at Havasu.
There is some decent contact info on that site, and I would give them a call. BTW, I would not say "Jet boat" as they will confuse it with a Personal Watercraft. I would only refer to my "Four Stroke engine" and noise levels. Based on their inability to properly write a description of banned engines I would not want them to confuse anything.
