i would like to get a jet for my dt85, not sure of the year ser #8501 615124 <br />also any mant. things i need to take care of (just bought the boat)thanks
Serial no. 615124 is 1986 if it's silver or white, 1996 if it's charcoal grey (8501 would tell me but I'm at home and senile). Actually the year doesn't matter as the lower units were the same. Outboard Jets makes the pump..readily available last time I ordered one. I think cost was about $1500. Where are you? <br /> If the engine has been sitting..disassemble and clean out the carbs and replace the fuel pump.
More importantly what are you going to put it on. Simply adding a jet to a lower unit may not give you nearly the performance that you want if it is not on the right type of hull / set up.<br /><br />Kid
