I have a 99' 150 HP Yamaha OB Jet -- I have a problem that in very shallow water I pick up sand / shells & injest it directly into the water pump unfortunatly directly located over the jet screw. Now I'm pulling my heads down to unpack the sand. --- has any one succesfully re-plumed the water pickup (for cooling the engine) thru the 1/4" pipe tap on the side of the jet? Any other ideas?<br /><br />Dave B.
