I don't know what year my carburetors are but I do know they are either 80, 81 or 82. engine is '78 115 johnson. do I use jets for an 80 81 or 82? thanks

My book sez the mains in that engine should be 54C's at sea level.<br /><br />c/6<br />Hooty

thanks thats what my book say's as well. but what size of IAB's? carbs have the IAB as well as mains and my book don't list iab sizes for pre '79 carbs. thanks

What ever year and model the carbs are is what determines what jets to use no matter what motor its on.

ahhh yes but here's the rub. any way to tell for sure what year carbs are? I have narrowed it down to '80 or '81 (based on jet charts and looking at an '82) any help is very much appreciated. IAB's are sized for sea level in an '80(I think) but mains are nowhere on any jet chart. I don't believe this boat has been anywhere near sea level in years maybe never. only info. on jets is 30 on IAB's and 25 on mains. thanks
