jhonson 175 fast strike rough idle

i have a 1194 johnson 175 fast strike motor runs great never had any problems but i think it is flooding out when at idle. it starts to cut out and it will finaly cutt off. but if i give it just a little gas it idles fine what could b the problem

sounds like you need a carb job...check your spark...and new champion plugs

Carb probs, sync & link if something loosened up or slipped.
