I found this kind of interesting. There is a federal program called Trade Adjustment Assistance or TAA. What it is is if your company lays you off due to imports you, your company or union can pettition the Department of Labor to be included in the TAA program. If investigation proves your job loss was as a result of imports then you can get up to 102 weeks of unemployment and education assistance.<br /><br />I did a seach in my home state to find out how many places had qualified.
