Joe Reeves....please take another look

I'm posting this Joe for mtngringo. He has the 87' 225 that gets the steady tone and the engine dies. I re-read his post and notice that he also posted that when the horn goes off, his volt meter reading at 14-15 goes into the red and the engine dies. Could we be looking at a stator going to ground or have some wiring that is somehow crossing? I'm sure gringo would apprecitate another look. Don't have any diagrams here at home so I'm just going from memory here. Thanks. <br />PS...this problem just cropped up on him.

OutboardJim..... I've thought it over carefully and have come to the conclusion that it must be broke!<br /><br />Seriously, I picked up on it and have added a few more thoughts.
