Joe Reeves WOT timing proceedure...spark tester???

was going to try timing my engine. Following the Reeves timing proceedure in the top secret files. Just wondering what a spark tester consists of and how do i rig it? Is this spark tester a tool i have to purchase or is it something i make up myself?

You can buy an adjustable air gap tester for <$10 at most auto parts stores. Set gap @ 7 /16".

I built one out of two bits of wood, 2 nails gapped at 11mm and some crocodile clipped wires. The WOT procedure works well just jump the solenoid to crank it with it in gear and have a fully charged battery.

If you need a pic of the tester just message me and Ill find it but its really just common sense.
