Well folks i have a few questions.
#1 i have two 20 or25 hp bare blocks around the 67-70 vintage i think. not too sure of the year i just know they are identical to my 69 20hp, anyways both have light scarring in one cylinder not sure how much but too much for a hone job. the question is how much should i bore?
#2 question is where do i find oversize pistons and rings?

Bore them just enough to clean them up, in increments of .010.
Over sized rings should be easy to come by, just look up your engine and see what they offer.

I was told at some point that these motors have the balance built into them to have two different cylinders. Would it be safe to only bore one cylinder?

You can bore one cylinder and have no problems.
