I have a 1962 10hp Johnson Seahorse outboard, model QD-23A I need a lower portion
of the water pump housing, can anyone direct me to where I might find one and if possible
can anyone tell me whether or not I can use ta complete water pump assembly from other
JOHNSON Seahorse models, eg from a 9.5 Seahorse lower unit from 1964-1973? I'm new to this board
and would appreciate any info or advice.

My_X..... If you're speaking of the lower bearing and housing assy that sits under the water pump plate, I can't help you with the actual plate but can supply some info on it. The OMC part number is 377186, it has been unavailable since 1984, and you can expect a price of approximately $30.00 when you find one.

The water pump question suggests to me that you already have the interchange information. The OMC complete water pump kit has a part number of 382296 and lists for approximately $60.00 (I have two of these left in stock if you're interested).

That pump (382296) fits the 1964 to 1973 9.5hp, and the 1958 to 1963 10hp Johnson/Evinrude engines....
