johnson 120 whats it for?

sitting in the boat looking at the motor on the top left corner a rubber tube comes out that pumps water when the motor is running.whats it called whats it for? its routed up towards the drivers controles but not hooked up to anything and just pumps water on the floor .any advice? i looked every were for somthing it is suposed to hook in to , cant see or find anything just traded for the boat .thanks

Sounds like the pee hole but it's supposed to go out the back. Do you have a pee hole in addition to that hose spurting water? Is this a new happening? Did you just get the engine?

sounds like a pressure tube for a speedometer. it runs from the Pitot fitting on the transom, and plugs into the back of the speedometer. if no speedo. remove tube on transom.

rethought. sounds like a water pressure gauge hose.
