Hey guys, hope you all had a good week.

I wanted to ask you a few quick questions. I am looking at purchasing a 1998 WellCraft 190CCF with a 1998 Johnson 130. I wanted to ask you if you knew if this year a model were reliable? Is this motor a premix or does it have an oil pump like a VRO? I know early Johnson/Rudes were some of the better engines but I wanted to know you opinions of this motor reliabilty/fuel economy. Any problem areas? Thanks for any advice.

Re: Johnson 130 - Questions

good motors good boat depending on condition of boat and motor check compression before you buy and by all means get them to take it out on a test run and run it good check transom check lower for shifting smoothness
and idle guality and cold start ,they are good motors if properly maintained
may have a mech go over it for ya ,or get some info from here and do it yourself,
