Dear friends, I have a 1800 foot bayliner cuddy with a 1996 Johnson 130Hp Looper Outboard - I put a 4 Blade OMC Renegade 23 Pitch Prop on it - QIESTION: Is it normal that I have to turn up the engine idle setting ? When I drop it in gear - it drags the motor down to nothing & it stalls, no doubt the 4 blade has almost no slip & it goes in with a clunk - BUT - is it normal that the engine can be dragged down to nothing ? - I had to raise the factory idle setting from 750 RPM to 1000 PRM or so .. Please advise - THis year I have done a complete tune up including Carb(s) rebuild with kits & floats.
