hey guys i have a johnson 135 ... not sure of the year but im guessing 80's ??? anyway ... it needs a tnt trim motor/pump...

also needs a new hood gasket ... are they still available ??

where is the best place to get a new motor/pump for the best price .... and how do i get the old one off ?? looks like the one cylinder has to come off to get to the bolts ??

Its a 70's motor actually.....either '74 or '75.....you would be better off looking around on ebay for a replacement tnt motor as there may be an aftermarket unit made for it.....otherwise a used working complete unit, usually not cheap though. New cowling gaskets appear to be available still and are reasonably priced.

The original seal for the cowling on a 1975 engine is 0329548, and Bombardier has it in stock. OMC originally used two different trim motors on these production engines. You need to determine which version you have. OMC does have a few replacement parts still available for those motors. Check out the factory exploded parts diagrams on the web: epc.brp.com They made 135's from 1973 to 1976.

As said above it is a 73 - 76 motor and looks like a calico (sp) pump. A good starter or wiring shop can repair/rewind it probably for around 100.00 or you can try ebay. Get a quote before you have it repaired including what they will do to it. I have been burned with shoddy partial work at full prices before.

thanks guys ...... it is a 1975 ... atleast thats what the spark advance sticker says .... 1975 135 20 degrees spark adv.

CRB ... i have a really good starter alt. shop right down the road.... have had several starters and alts rebuilt for vehicles with excellent results. ill have to pull it off and see what they say.... how do i get it off though ?? do i take the one shock cylinder off to get to the bolts ?? thanks again guys
