Ahoy Musky3.

Gotta love that handle. :)

The JohnnyZuki is a great engine. You need to "prop it out" on the water with a normal load to select the optimum prop.

For your boat I would start with a 20" pitch.

Good luck. :)

Re: Johnson 140 4 stroke

Musky, I just repowered my Triton 18' center console bay boat this weekend with the Johnson 140 four stroke (18', 92 wide, 1700 lbs). Couldn't be happier. Ran the engine about three hours. Go to www.suzukimarine.com and look at the boat tests. The have several boat tests showing boat weight, speed, etc. Most are using the the 3 blade 14" x 20". That is what I put on mine and it turns 6250 rpm at wot. That is the upper limit of the operating range with just me in the boat.

You won't believe how quiet the engine is at idle. It has lots of power from hole shot to wot.

I also ordered a Turning Point aluminum prop as a spare from Iboats. Have not tried it yet.

Good Luck.

Musky3,
Go to the Michigan Wheel website. THey have a prop selector. Give them the specs/use and they'll recommend the prop.
