I'm running twin Johnson 140 Loopers (1986 year) on my boat. The left motor will easily do the 6000 RPM WOT while the right will only do 5500. I've adjusted the WOT screw and the cable tension with no change. Is there anything else I can do? Should I be satisfied with 5500 WOT or is this lugging the motor. Any suggestions? Shoud I change the prop on the right motor to change the REVS?
Thanks

manual says 5000-6000 wot rpm so i would be happy with 5500. I try to run mine around 4500 to save gas d:)

Try switching the tachometers. Unless they are digital tachs, there is some degree of innacuracy in all guages. A switch should tell you if you have an engine problem or tach problem.
