Finally got my motor running and of course something else breaks!!! I had problems shifting gears so I narrowed it down to the control box. I took it apart to find the teeth on the throttle lever inside the box are cracked and when switching gears the teeth don't grab anymore. Im assuming the plastic got old and just cracked. I was tryin to look at it today to see if I could repair it, but I cant seem to get the thing apart. I can manually reset the teeth back on, but once I shift into forward it the teeth wont grab to back into neutral. The thing is everything else works great on the box. The ignition, cables, wires, rpm gauge, kill switch. I hate to have to buy a whole new set up if I can repair this one, or replace the part. Anyone have or heard of this problem?? Also I been looking for a used control box, but cant seem to find any that match mine and I'm not sure exactly what box will work for my motor and can I use my current wires and cables, etc. Thanks.
