Hi all. I need help and fast! Boating season here in Finland is at its best and engine wont run nicely. So, here is whats going on: It started when i was going to plane the boat, suddenly it started to shake and power gone away, one cyl off? At idle it runs and coffs, rpm wont go over 3000 or something like that. Starts fine. When i put new set of plugs same thing. I noticed that #3 cyliders plug went veeery black. Lots of fouling. Tried with oneother same thing in 5 secs. There is also lot of somekind sludge at plughole. #1 cyl was also fouled but not nearly as much and it was wet, #3 was dry. #2 and #4 vere fairly clean but also wet. I tried oneother coil for that badly fouled cyl but no effect. Also noticed that cyls 2 and 4 side is cooler than other side. What is wrong with this thing, please help!!

have you checked compression?
Is it a grey type of sludge- sludge normally means a water leak- head gasket, exhaust gasket.....

It holds like hours, not days. I have not, could vro failure effect to just one or two cylinders?
