I have a johnson 140VRO where would the model number be located? I need to know what year it is. The number 397265RPH is located on the back of the motor under the cover.The motor cover is white. This is on a 96 Bass Master. Any info will help.
Hi Bluegrass-man... You'll need the model number... You can find the model number stamped on a small plate located on the transom clamp that mounts the engine to the boat..<br /><br />When you find the number you can track down the model year on this link..<br /> http://www.marinshopen.se/guide/guide.htm
On some OMCs that have not been rebuilt the number is stamped on the disk that looks like a freeze plug on the rear top of the block about the size of a quarter.
This is on a 96 Bass Master. Any info will help.
