Can any one tell me the torque setting for the mount bracket nut (the one at the bottom of the steering arm assembly)for a 1980 Johnson 140 model J140TLCSA? Is there anywhere that lists all the torque settings for this model motor?
Clive.... If you're speaking of that large nut at the underside of the lower motor mount bracket (bottom of the steering arm tube), the torque is 130 to 150 foot pounds (180-200N.m). Contact me via e-mail and I'll send you the full torque specs of that engine. ReevesJ32@aol.com
